Aged Care Ratings

About

Choosing an aged care home is one of the hardest decisions a family makes, and most people do it once, under time pressure, with very little to go on.

The government publishes a great deal of useful information about every home in the country — star ratings, staffing levels, and what residents said when they were asked directly. It is accurate and free. It is also spread across several systems, buried behind tabs, and almost impossible to compare across homes.

This site does one thing: it puts that data in one place and lets you sort, filter and compare it.

How this site makes money

Advertising, and in future, referrals to placement and financial advice services that families choose to contact.

No home can pay to change its position in any ranking, search result or comparison on this site. Not now, not for any price. Several existing aged care directories sell placement in their listings, which is precisely why their ordering can't be trusted. Ours is generated from government data and nothing else.

What we are not

We are not a government service, we are not affiliated with My Aged Care, and we don't provide financial, medical or legal advice. If you need help navigating the aged care system itself, My Aged Care is the place to start.
